At the Parenting Garden, we believe that parents and children grow together through play.

Our play area is stocked with tons of educational toys for babies through pre-schoolers. These include mirrors, cause-and-effect toys, building toys, music toys, etc. Our gym has push toys, a see saw, a slide, lots of balls, and riding toys!

Unlike other circle times, our program is dedicated to working on a “life skill.” In addition to fun activities such as reading books and singing songs, we engage the children in activities that practice sharing, taking turns, etc. At the end of each circle time, each child will get to take home a completed art project.

Each week, we dedicate an hour to new moms. Ann, our La Leche League leader, provides guidance and answers any questions regarding breastfeeding.  We also have coffee & tea, and a weekly affordable parenting class available to all moms.

We are open every Friday 8:30am-12:30pm in the basement of the Oakwood United Methodist Church at 206 Hadley Ave. Our daily scheduled events include a free weekly breastfeeding group hosted by the La Leche League at 9am, parenting class at 10am, and circle time at 11am. All events are optional. Kids over 1 are $5. Kids under 1 are free. Drop by anytime!
